Testing/Feedback
How we Test and Rank

Before an e-product even becomes eligible for testing, it has been subjected to considerable research. We gather data about consumer demand in the marketplace, and about what our readers have requested we review. Our staff then scrutinizes the material, and develops the testing strategies.  Staff shoppers then buy the products we use as test samples.

Our Testing Center, is located just outside of Philadelphia, PA and is where most of our staff testing takes place.  When the product dictates we will use outside volunteers to conduct the tests.  These volunteers are compensated fairly when need be for their time and effort.  We receive no special treatment. We accept no free samples. If a manufacturer sends us a free product, we return it.

More than 5 testing experts work in some capacity at E-Reviewers.com, and as of October of 2006 more than 10 willing testing partners throughout the country help us in our process. The actual tests are based when necessary on government and industry standards but also on standards our specialists think should apply.

In addition to our testing, E-Reviewers.com is driven by the experiences our readers have had with the e-products in question. Their feedback is listed, and the consumer rank is placed next to the E-Review site official rank for comparison.  Our staff factors every consumer driven score into the customer rank but does not list every emailed comment.

The products are ranked on the following ideals:
  • The product's price.
  • In-depth product content reviews.
  • Suitability for different markets.
  • Consumer rankings and feedback.
  • E-review rankings and feedback.
  • An analysis of the ordering risk and money-back guarantee.
  • Other important product information.
We review as many e-products in each category as possible or requested. To avoid legal issues many of the products deemed to be low range are left of the list.  However, if we find the product is obviously fraudulent or a scam we will list it without fear of reprisal.  When buying e-products not listed with us we strongly advise you to be very cautious.

Feedback

In business, reputation counts, and its opinions from customers like you that help form a company's reputation.  Do you have Feedback you'd be willing to share regarding your recent dealings with an e-product?

Join with your peers in helping us help other buyers make more informed, confident decisions when selecting e-products.

If you're ready to submit your Feedback, please email us in the following manner;

  • Provide the company URL in the email subject line.
  • List product type and selling company name in the body of your email.
  • Add your review comments in the body and give a ranking of very positive, positive, neutral, negative, or very negative.
  •  Leave your name and where you are from.
All feedback is included in the consumer ranking even if your email is not posted.

Feedback Tip
  • Please be sure to leave only fair and factual comments that relate to a specific transaction you've had with the e-product.
Negative Feedback

Receiving negative Feedback is never pleasant, particularly if you feel that it was unwarranted. If the comments submitted violate our policy on Feedback, (see our "Feedback Policy"), then you can request that the Feedback item be removed. However, a simple belief that a comment is untrue or undeserved is not a valid criterion for removal.

To maintain the integrity of our Feedback system, we cannot remove Feedback based on subjective reasoning.  If you've received negative Feedback, here are a few suggestions:

  • Post a professional reply to the comment that might better explain the situation from your perspective, including outlining any discrepancies in the author's (buyer's) comments.
  • Encourage your clients to leave positive Feedback, so when a potential buyer sees that you have a large number of positive comments mixed with a negative or two, the positive comments you have received will always outweigh the negative.
Withdrawing Feedback

Authors, (buyers), can withdraw a negative Feedback comment they have submitted for a company if they've since resolved their disagreement by emailing E-Reviewers.com. When Feedback is withdrawn it is no longer displayed and the negative rating associated with it will no longer show or count towards a company's Feedback score.

Feedback FAQ
  • I recently posted Feedback but it isn't showing up?
    • Not all emails are posted however all scores are factored.
  • Does E-Reviewers.com get directly involved in company ratings?
    • Only in the E-Reviewers.com ranking section.
  • Can I submit Feedback on any e-products company?
    • Yes, but we prefer you to have had dealings with the company and to have used their product.
  • Do companies pay to be eligible to receive Feedback?
    • No.
  • Do companies have control over what Feedback they wish to have appear?
    • No.
  • How do I know that companies haven't submitted Feedback for themselves?
    • We manually review of evaluations and do our best to avoid this from happening. Fraudulent evaluations by employees or affiliates of a company will not be accepted.
  • How do I know that my competitors won't fraudulently submit negative Feedback for me?
    • We apply the same techniques to prevent fraudulent evaluations of this sort.
  • My company only has a few Feedback items. How can I encourage my customers to post Feedback?
    • Some companies place a link to www.E-Reviewers.com on their Website. Some include a simple text message in all of their email correspondence along the lines of, "We thank you for your business. Please be sure to submit Feedback for us at www.E-Reviewers.com".
  • I want to submit Feedback, but I don't want my contact information made public.
    • To maintain the integrity of our Feedback system, we cannot accept anonymous Feedback. The author's first name and company name, (if applicable), will always be displayed publicly next to each Feedback comment submitted. While your email will NOT be displayed, it is required for verification purposes.
  • What if I find a Feedback item that I consider to be offensive?
    • Please contact us via email.
  • I want my company removed from this site.
    • Companies cannot opt-out of appearing on E-Reviewers.com. It would defeat the purpose of having a Feedback feature if companies could choose not to be listed, as poorly run companies would never choose to appear on the site and risk giving their customers a voice.
